Eco Schools
The Green Team at Yeading Infants is made up of 8 children, two from each Year 2 Class. We also have adult members who are a cross-section of the school staff with an interest in being “green”. The children are responsible for making decisions about how the school can move forward to improve our green credentials.
We meet every half-term (sometimes more often) to make plans for future projects, and we now have our own budget. To this budget we add money that we make from recycling and any awards that we gain. We decide what new initiatives we wish to follow and how to spend our money! The Green Team is very committed, and I would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you for all their hard work. Each pair of children has a separate area of responsibility, e.g. environment, recycling, growing and waste.
