At Yeading Infant and Nursery School, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum which takes into account our children’s interests. We use the National Curriculum to structure the content of what is taught and we enrich children’s learning experiences by providing access to stimulating resources and valuable workshops, assemblies and extra curricular clubs and trips. Teaching staff have access to high quality training opportunities which place quality first teaching at the core of everything we do. Children are regularly assessed and feedback provided to parents informally on a daily basis and during three parents evenings throughout the course of the year.
Our ‘Good’ Ofsted report from 2013 confirms:
‘The curriculum is broad and balanced. Pupils have good opportunities to attend after-school
clubs, which include sports, music and martial arts. Homework reinforces pupils’ learning in all
year groups. There are themed weeks, including those to keep pupils healthy such as a walk to
school week. Pupils are actively encouraged to perform in local competitions that develop their
personal talents. There is a well-resourced environmental area where all pupils can learn
practical science such as growing plants, watch the local wildlife and develop skills using tools.’
